Snow and rain are anticipated in K-P as temperatures decrease significantly.

Peshawar and its surrounding regions are currently enveloped in thick cloud cover, which exacerbates the cold conditions. The Pakistan Meteorological Department reports that most districts in the province are anticipated to face dry and extremely cold weather, while the upper and mountainous areas are expected to remain very cold with partly cloudy skies.

Light rain and snowfall are forecasted for the mountains in Upper Dir, Kohistan, Shangla, Battagram, Upper Swat, and Mansehra.

In the plains, including Peshawar, Charsadda, Nowshera, Mardan, Swabi, Karak, and Bannu, fog is likely to form, especially during the early morning and nighttime hours.

The Met Office has also issued warnings about reduced visibility in Lakki Marwat, Tank, and Dera Ismail Khan, particularly along motorways, national highways, and the GT Road, due to ongoing fog.

Some upper and flat regions of the province may also see mist during late night and early morning hours, according to the department. In South Punjab, a persistent cold wave has taken hold, affecting daily activities as temperatures drop significantly below seasonal norms.

Cities such as Multan, Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, and Rahim Yar Khan have been experiencing cold mornings and nights, with only brief periods of light sunshine over the past few days.

Local meteorological data indicates that maximum temperatures in most areas of South Punjab have ranged from 14°C to 17°C, while minimum temperatures have fallen to between 3°C and 6°C.

In certain rural and riverine regions, particularly near canals and low-lying areas, night temperatures have been reported even lower, heightening the sensation of cold due to the combination of dense fog and moist air.
