Nervous but excited: Ainy Jaffri returns to TV after four-year hiatus alongside Saba Qamar
“It’s been a minute,” wrote Jaffri as she confirmed the news of her working alongside Saba Qamar, Mikaal Zulfiqar and Shayan Khan on Mandi. Sharing a news post by a local publication on her Instagram, she added, “[I am] extremely humbled and excited to be part of this project and joining a supremely talented cast. After a four-year break, to spend time with my new son and family; I am simultaneously nervous and also thrilled to be entering the acting space again.”
She continued to tell how the break made her realise her passion for acting, saying it was not a “passing fancy” and something that she could never give up on. “The break has taught me to be more patient and the very valuable lesson that being a woman and a mother means that while you can’t have it all at the same time, you can have it, in turns, when the time is right,” the Aseerzadi actor added.
Co-star Qamar also commented on the post. “Most welcome, love,” she wrote. The Baaghi star also posted a video today while on route to her shoot with the caption, “Mandi–Day 10” further confirming the news. While the details of the show are under wraps, we’re excited to see Jaffri back on the screen and so are her fans!
Earlier while promoting her film Ballu Mahi with Osman Khalid Butt, Jaffri told The Express Tribune that, “Acting was always something I really wanted to do but didn’t push too hard for it as there was a lot of resistance,” she said. “My parents were very weary of it. They weren’t aware of how professional everything is in the industry until my aunt, Azra Mohyuddin, joined it.”
Jaffri first began her career with one-off commercials which propelled her towards 2010’s Zip Bus Chup Raho and then the rest was history as she climbed the ladder with multiple drama serials under her belt.
