Monsoon rains boost water level in rivers
According to Wapda spokesperson, the inflow of water at Tarbela Dam is 247,700 cusecs while the outflow is 142,600 cusecs.
At Mangla Dam the water inflow is 40,900 cusecs and the outflow is 15,000 cusecs.
The water level at Chashma barrage is 193,300 cusecs and the outflow is 185,000 cusecs.
The Wapda spokesperson noted that the inflow of water at Head Marala in Chenab River is 79,400 cusecs while the outflow is 55,400 cusecs.
In Kabul River, the inflow and outflow of water at Nowshera is 47,300 cusecs.
The Wapda spokesperson said that the water storage in Tarbela Dam on Tuesday was 742,000 acre feet, Mangla Dam 525,000 acre feet and Chashma barrage 62,000 acre feet.
The total water storage of Tarbela and Mangla dams and Chashma barrage was 13,29,000 acre feet.
