Suzuki Dominates With Alto, Cultus and Swift in Top 5 Best Selling Cars of November 2022

Due to poor financial plight sales of cars have dropped massively by rising car prices and repeated production halts. Total sales of new locally assembled passenger cars in Pakistan between July and October 2022 declined by 47% to 39,700 from 74,952. However, October sales of Honda, Toyota, and Suzuki vehicles recovered slightly from last month but were still down from the previous respective month of 2021. As a result of a rise in sales, Suzuki cars top the list in October.  Toyota, and Suzuki posted much better numbers than the month prior. Hyundai, on the other hand, saw another massive decline with just 441 units sold.

Toyota Corolla At No.5

As compared with other car sales Toyota Corolla is in 5th position in sales with very low sales in recent months. As per details from PAMA (Pakistan Automotive Manufacturer’s Association’s) Toyota company only able to sold 1100 units in last months, witnessing a decline of 10% in sales on a month-over-month (MOM) basis.

Suzuki Cultus At 4th

Another valuable addition in top bestselling cars is Suzuki Cultus. Cultus has made it to the top-five list with increase growth compared to the previous month. Pak Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) sold almost 1,129 units of Cultus in October 2022 by leaving many reliable performers. Cultus has been out of form ever since the State Bank of Pakistan’s (SBP) import restrictions started ravaging the car industry.  This figure has landed Cultus on the fourth spot in the list of 5 best-selling cars of October 2022.

Honda City At 3rd

With its recent sales Honda City, the top bestseller subcompact sedan in Pakistan has now slipped down to the 3rd rank in October 2022. The report shows that Honda Atlas Cars Limited (HACL) sold only 1060 units of City last month.

Although ^th generation Honda city shows good sale and increase Honda’s overall reputation in the market. The subcompact sedan has, once again, defeated Pakistan’s most popular sedan, Toyota Corolla, as well as other subcompacts.

 Suzuki Swift At 2nd

Suzuki Wagon R secured the second position last month with its massive growth by beating various competitors. Pak Suzuki Motor Company Limited sold around 1,350 units of Swift which stands it among the top best-selling cars of October 2022 despite the recent sales cuts.

Suzuki successfully acquired consumer trust in the market and was able to hit maximum sales as compared with other competitors in Pakistan.  Despite the drop in car demand and supply, PSMC sold 2,250 units of Swift, making it the best-selling subcompact family car of November 2022.

Suzuki Alto At 1st

Suzuki Alto is emerged as the bestselling model in the country in October 2022. Despite the production shortage, the company has sold the 2,372 units of the Suzuki Alto in July 2022 that makes it one of the top 5 best-selling cars in Pakistan for the 10th month in a row this year. 

It is to be noted that Alto is still facing the number of manufacturing faults and receiving frequently complain about its poor build quality. By that logic, Alto is the equivalent of a bad addiction that Pakistanis cannot seem to cure.
