Samsung Pakistan Unveils Second Samsung Innovation Campus Cohort to Advance AI Expertise Among Youth
Lahore, Pakistan – February 21, 2026: Samsung Electronics Pakistan has officially launched the second cohort of its flagship Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC), a comprehensive training initiative designed to equip young Pakistani talent with cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence (AI) skills and accelerate the nation’s digital economy growth.
Held at the DHA Raya Country Club in Lahore, the inauguration event welcomed Samsung leadership, technology industry experts, HR leaders, and 50 newly enrolled students who will begin an intensive, hands-on AI education journey across partner campuses in Lahore, Karachi, and Islamabad.
Deepening Industry-Ready AI Expertise
Building on the success of its first run, the second Samsung Innovation Campus cohort features a strengthened curriculum with enriched industry collaborations and a renewed commitment to inclusive access — especially for students from underrepresented communities and women in technology.

At a time when over 60 % of Pakistan’s population is under 30, and IT exports are expanding rapidly, the demand for skilled professionals in AI and related fields has never been greater. Aligned with Pakistan’s National AI Policy 2025 — which aims to train one million AI professionals by 2030 — SIC plays a pivotal role in delivering practical, job-focused learning opportunities.
Robust Curriculum With Real-World Focus
Participants in this cohort will complete 270 hours of structured coursework, covering key areas such as machine learning, data science, deep learning, and natural language processing. This is followed by an 80-hour capstone project where learners tackle real-world challenges, bridging the gap between academic knowledge and employer expectations.
Vision and Industry Impact
According to Samsung Pakistan leadership, the Innovation Campus is rooted in the belief that AI should be accessible, dependable, and embedded into everyday life — and that Pakistan’s young population is a strategic asset for future innovation.
Ahmed Wahab Shah, Director of Corporate Marketing at Samsung Electronics Pakistan, highlighted that SIC helps turn Pakistan’s youth bulge into a demographic dividend by preparing graduates for both domestic and global tech opportunities.
Senior Director Umer Ghumman also emphasized the importance of leadership traits such as curiosity and resilience — qualities that go beyond technical skills and differentiate exceptional tech professionals.
Driving Inclusive Growth
The programme prioritizes diverse student backgrounds and focuses on boosting female participation, ensuring that Pakistan’s emerging AI workforce reflects the nation’s true talent potential.
At the event, Guest of Honour Ahmed Khan, CEO of the Punjab Skills Development Fund (PSDF), praised the initiative’s focus on employment-oriented training and noted its role in transforming Pakistan’s youth from job-seekers into future builders of the digital economy.
Strong Industry Linkages and Future Opportunities
A unique feature of SIC is its close engagement with Pakistan’s technology industry. HR leaders and hiring managers from top tech firms attended the launch, signalling strong demand for graduates with practical AI capabilities. Early outcomes from the first cohort validate this approach: several participants have already secured internships and full-time roles with leading companies.
