‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ reigns supreme at Bollywood box office
The film left Kangana Ranaut and Arjun Rampal’s spy-thriller Dhaakad in the dust, which has turned out to be a massive box office disappointment. Taking to Twitter, Kartik shared how he was unable to buy tickets for the film, humbled by its raging success. “As actors we crave for this day… This Housefull board!! Where I myself didn’t get the tickets [for] Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 on fire. Thank you to the audience,” shared the actor.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is a follow up to the beloved 2007 film starring Akshay Kumar. While the first part of the series was helmed by Priyadarshan, the sequel has been directed by Anees Bazmi. The film also stars Kiara Advani and Tabu in leading roles.
Kartik recently shared with Bollywood Hungama that he would love to play cricketer Virat Kohli in the future. “If I’d love to do a biopic,” the actor took a brief pause to think and said, “it would be Virat Kohli!” Virat is the current Indian captain and is regarded as one of the most successful and popular cricketers in the world.
Experimenting with different genres and widening his acting portfolio, 2022 will see him in a number of other films, including Freddy, and Shehzada and if his interest is carried on, Kartik will be seen trying his hand in the genre of cricket biopics too.
