Australia’s home series was a learning curve for me: Imam-ul-Haq
Pakistan opening batsman Imam-ul-Haq opened up about his experience of playing against Australia and termed it as a ‘huge learning curve.’
While speaking in a video posted by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on their YouTube channel, Imam admitted that Australians gave Pakistan a tough time.
“The Australians gave us a tough time in Test cricket and played great cricket and as a cricketer, I learned a lot being subjected to relentless pressure,” he said.
Imam enjoyed a good run against the Australian side as he scored 370 runs in three Tests with two back-to-back centuries as he finished the series as the 4th highest run-scorer of the series.
The left-hander added that Australia’s tour is beneficial for Pakistan cricket as it will help while convincing other top nations to visit Pakistan.
“When more and more topsides will visit Pakistan, it will be an opportunity for individuals as well as a team to enhance their skill set.
During the ODI series, Imam continued his spectacular form as he scored 101,106 and 89* in the three respective ODIs.
Speaking about his consistency, Imam said that domestic cricket also helped me tremendously.
“I have been working really hard on my game in the nets and in domestic cricket and reaping the results now,” he concluded.
