Who wore it better: Mahira, Deepika stun in Faraz Manan

Across the border, Bollywood beauty Deepika Padukone’s star power is synonymous to that of the Bin Roye actor’s in Pakistan. She too has belted out hit after hit and exhibited her acting prowess in blockbuster movies including Cocktail, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Bajirao Mastani, Padmaavat and Chapaak. While both ladies have the ability to make their fans swoon over their film projects, their followers remain equally smitten by the style statements they churn out from time to time.

In an interesting development, both Khan and Padukone were recently spotted wearing a similar Faraz Manan ensemble that not only grabbed the eyeballs of fashion connoisseurs but also became the talk of the town. Here is a breakdown of their super stunning looks.

1.    Mahira Khan

Starting off with our homegirl, Mahira made a case for monochrome dressing when she stepped out in an all-black sari for the premier of Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad in Lahore. The sequined garb comprised a fitted choli featuring a sweetheart neckline and a bell-sleeved jacket.

The latter entailed cutwork accents at its edges. What we loved about Mahira’s look was the fact that she ditched the traditional sari blouse for a more modern-day look. With her hair pulled back into a neat bun, her face glowing with dewy makeup and understated earrings, there is no gainsaying that Mahira did complete justice to Faraz’s creation.

2.    Deepika Padukone

If Faraz had to hire two brand ambassadors for life, hands down our vote would be for Mahira and Deepika! While the B-town diva donned the black blingy saree in the traditional way, she went experimental with her blouse. The lace and sequin blouse entailed corset detailing, accentuating her chiseled abs and adding oomph to her overall look.

As she walked gracefully in the eye-catching number, her long earrings dangled with her. With her hair pulled back in a neat bun, Deepika finished off her look with glossy lips and dewy skin. Both stars made the right choice by opting for neat updos and minimal accessories, allowing their outfits to do the talking!
