We’re more than close friends: Kiara Advani addresses rumoured romance with Sidharth Malhotra

A recent preview of the eighth episode of season 7 of Koffee with Karan has once again reignited the rumours of the couple’s alleged romance. The preview begins with Advani and her Kabir Singh co-star Shahid Kapoor in host Karan Johar’s hot seat.

When Johar asks Advani who her closest friend is, the Jugjugg Jeeyo actor immediately says Kapoor. However, Advani’s safe response prompts the host to dig deeper into her alleged romance with Malhotra and whether she’s denying their relationship to the public. Taking the question in stride, the actor lightly responds, “I’m not denying or accepting. We are definitely ‘close friends.’ More than close friends.”

This subtle confirmation is more than enough for Kapoor and Johar to begin a round of teasing, with Kapoor saying Advani and Malhotra are “such a good-looking couple” with Johar adding “Bachche kamaal ke honge (Their kids will be gorgeous).”

At the end of the preview, Kapoor suggests that the pair is set to make their relationship official sooner than expected. “Be ready for a big announcement sometime at the end of this year, and it’s not a movie,” hinted the Jersey actor.

This has left fans eagerly awaiting any news from the couple as they prepare for their next on-screen roles, with Advani starring in the upcoming Telugu political drama RC15 while Malhotra will be seen in the comedy film Thank God.
