Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt Wedding Couple

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt got married on April 14 in a private ceremony with family and close friends in attendance. The couple will be hosting a small, intimate reception party at their Vastu home in Mumbai, today, April 16. Alia shared pictures of her fairytale wedding that sent the Internet into frenzy. After sharing their wedding photos, the couple made an appearance and posed for the media. They were all smiles and on their way back, Ranbir lifted Alia in his arms. More pictures have been following, as today, Alia shared pictures from her mehendi ceremony. Fans are elated to see happy and content pictures of the celebrity shaadi.

In one of the photos shared by Soni, Alia is seen performing a ritual with a bowl and a spoon in her hand. As she does the ritual, Ranbir looks at her with a bright smile. Another photo has the lovebirds looking into each other’s eyes. The Call My Agent Bollywood actor captioned the photos, “My jaans…. Pooja Bhatt, actor and Alia’s half-sister, also shared the same family portrait. She also posted a couple of adorable clicks of Ranbir with Alia’s father Mahesh Bhatt. In the photos, the filmmaker is seen lovingly hugging his son-in-law. “Who needs words when one has the ability to listen & speak from the heart? ” Pooja wrote along with the pictures.

Pre-wedding festivities began with a traditional Hindu ritual called Ganesh Puja at Kapoor’s Pali Hill house on Wednesday. The house and other properties owned by the Kapoors, including RK Studios, were decked with warm lights for the wedding celebrations. A Mehendi ceremony also took place, as is customary at Punjabi weddings.

Both stars were born into families of prominent actors and directors. Bhatt is the daughter of filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt and actor Soni Razdan, while Kapoor is the grandson of Hindi cinema legend Raj Kapoor and the son of actors Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh.
