No photo policy: Ranbir, Alia request media to avoid taking Raha’s pictures until she turns 2

According to Hindustan Times, the couple, along with Ranbir’s mum, actor Neetu Kapoor, held an informal meeting with journalists on Saturday and requested them to follow a strict “no photo policy” for Raha.

A source, present at the meeting, revealed that the actors politely asked photographers to be patient with them until Raha turns two years old. “We understand this is your profession and we all need you as much as you need us, but we request you to please not click Raha till she turns two,” said Ranbir while his mother also emphasised that the media should respect the parents’ decision.

The source added that the couple assured the media that they have no intentions to forever hide their daughter from people but they’re simply concerned for her privacy right now. “As parents, their concern is that let a couple of years pass by and then they would introduce Raha to the world. But they insisted that she’s a kid right now, so they don’t want to expose her so soon,” claimed the source.

For people who unintentionally capture Raha, Alia told them to add emojis on her face before sharing any pictures online. “If by chance Raha comes in any frame, please use a heart emoji or vada pav or bhajiya, but don’t reveal her face,” she said. Agreeing with her, Ranbir added, “Even in cars, when you zoom in and if at all you click her, please don’t circulate those photos. This is till she grows and understands whether she wants to give pictures or not.” The couple, however, assured the media that they can continue taking pictures of them.

Cricketer Virat Kohli and actor Anushka Sharma issued a similar statement in the past regarding their daughter, Vamika. Even when her photos from inside a cricket stadium were shared on social media, the PK actor asserted that media houses should take it down and respect the parent’s decision.
