Humayun Saeed Lacks Acting Skills. Firdaus Jamal

Firdous Jamal is a Pakistani television, theatre, stage and film actor. Beginning his career with a Hindko drama serial called Badnami Dey Toway in the mid-1970s, he has since then acted in at least 300 TV plays, 150 stage plays, 200 radio plays and 50 films, with his work consisting in all the languages of Pakistan.

Veteran actor Firdous Jamal, who is presently starring in plays like Gul k Gulzar and Mere Mohsin, recently appeared in Faysal Qureshi’s morning show along with his son Hamza Firdous. During the show, in a segment called ‘Mashwara Dain’ that takes advice for actors whose picture was shown to the guests, the actor didn’t have kind words to share. When Mahira Khan’s picture was on display, Firdous Jamal came up with the most unpleasant advice for her, which was not constructive in any way.  “I am sorry to say that Mahira is not heroine stuff,” he said blatantly, adding that she is a mediocre sort of a model. “She is not a good actress and not a heroine. She is old; one doesn’t play a heroine at this age but rather the role of a mother.” The host of the morning shows Faysal Qureshi smiled in response but chose to stay quiet.

Because of his bad behaviours he and his family are facing a very hard time on social media as a number of fans around the globe started giving very hard comments about his actions and demanding to say sorry officially.  Again in a recent interview, Firdous gave very bad comments on the acting skills of very successful actor Humayun Saeed and said that he has not any acting skills.

“Humayun Saeed has no acting skills, no voice, no character, no body language,” he said. “There are still people who are being fooled by the idea that he is doing good acting.” Additionally, he added that there are not any personal clashes with Humayun Saeed but as a senior actor it is my responsibility to indicate what is good and what is wrong inside the industry. 

“I don’t say anything to anybody on the basis of personal grudges, I talk on the technical grounds, I don’t watch their work as a normal viewer because I am an artist.”

“I criticize these actors as a technician and what I said about Mahira Khan earlier that she should do better roles is because we have a different concept of heroine in our society, we think of an 18-year-old girl as a heroine, there’s a difference in age (between a lady and a girl), I didn’t mean that she is old..”

Audience on social media took his comments under hard hands and reply that being a senior actor he should use the proper and supportive words for upcoming actors. Some of them said that junior actors do a very well job and are better than seniors in means of ideas and use of advanced technology in the industry.
