Ahmed Ali Butt and Ahmed Ali Akbar recreate infamous Oscar slapgate, get trolled

Hum Awards are annual Pakistani accolades bestowed by the Hum Network Limited in recognition of excellence in the programming of television, fashion and music industry of Pakistan. Winners are awarded the Hum Award of Merit. The awards were first presented in 2013 at a ceremony held at the Karachi Expo Centre

This time award will be organised in Toronto, Canada at September 24 2022,  almost stars from every field of entertainment will join the awards. A number of celebrities like Ahmed Ali Akbar, Saboor Aly, and Ayeza Khan won big while performances by Zara Noor Abbas, Bilal Ashraf, and Mahira Khan were highly praised. Bt this time there are so many issues in the way of the successful award ceremony, First of all, it is very hard to gather all the stars out of the country as after covid air travelling is very expensive along with hoteling etc 2ndly awards will go on in conditions when more than half of country is under water.

(On the other hand, the recreation of the infamous Oscar “slapgate” has been receiving severe criticism. A video is going viral which shows Ahmad Ali Butt taking a dig at Ahmed Ali Akbar’s look from Parizaad. The clip sees Butt passing colorist remarks at Akbar, prompting the Laal Kabootar star to come forward and slap him.)

In addition to that re-producing, the Oscar Seagate is receiving very negative comments from the audience. Butt initially says, “Ahmed Ali Akbar… Parizaad. Menay tumhe kaha tha na? Bohat pehle kaha tha, hit hone keliye mun kaala karana parta hai (I told you, didn’t I? I told you a long time ago that you have to lose face to become a star). Par tumne tou aik nahi, dou nahi, paanch heroines ke saath mun kaala karaliya (But you ended up losing face to not one, not two, but five heroines).” Akbar walks towards Butt and fake slaps him. Everyone goes silent. He then screams, “Keep my name out of your mouth!” leaving the crowd in fits, once again. While the recreation evidently garnered quite the applause at the award show, social media users are not impressed. With most finding it “cringe worthy” and others dubbing it “offensive”, the depiction, that may or may not have been scripted, is also being trolled for its “lack of originality.”

The video is viral around social media and gather a large number of negative and positive reviews from the audience, everyone trying to reveal their feeling in their own wordings.
