Pakistan, officially the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, is a country in South Asia. It is the world’s fifth-most populous country, with a population of almost 227 million, and has the world’s second-largest Muslim population. Pakistan is the 33rd-largest country by area, spanning 881,913 square kilometers. Pakistan is full of places that are soothing to the soul, with the lush forests to the roaring waterfalls and the magnificent mountains. Each has a unique sense of beauty that cannot be portrayed through any photograph yet still succeed in capturing more than just the interest of many.
There are numerous valleys in Pakistan that account for being one of the most beautiful places of the world. The top five valleys that one should definitely visit during the hot summer season are as follows.
Ayun And Bumburet Valley
Bumburet is the largest valley of Kalasha Desh in Chitral District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa the province of Pakistan. The Bumburet valley joins the Rumbur valley at 35°44′20″N 71°43′40″E 1,640 metres, and then joins the Kunar Valley at the village of Ayun.
A village of Chitral, located twelve kilometers from the city at the confluence of the River Bumburet. No words can do the place justice, to describe the beauty of the mountains that surround it. There is a sense of serenity the mountains provide to the tourist, the beauty completely enchants you. Barren mountains surrounding lush green fields making the view stand out in the most spectacular way.
Gojal Valley
Gojal, also called Upper Hunza, is situated in the far north of Pakistan. It borders China at the Khunjerab Pass and Afghanistan at the Chapursan valley. In 2019, Gojal Valley became the second Sub-Division within the Hunza District. Bordering the China Afghanistan border, this valley resides in the Gilgit Baltistan District and is known for its mesmerizing beauty and fast flowing rivers. Comprising of various small and large valleys within itself, Gojal successfully captures the beauty from each and makes it one of the major places one has to visit. From river Hunza to the Passu settlement to the Gulkhin settlement, the beauty surpasses any of our expectations.
Gojal is a series of small and large valleys sharing borders with Hunza in the south, China in the north and east, and Afghanistan in the north-west. Gulmit, Shishkot, Passu, Khaibar, Morkhun, Khudabad are some of the beautiful villages of Gojal valley.
Borith Lake
Borith Lake is a very beautiful lake of Gojal valley .The altitude of Borith is roughly 2,600 mrters above sea level.It lies approximately 2 km to the north of Ghulkin, a saline body of water occupying a small hollow at an elevation of 2,500 meters. The lake can be reached via a 2 km unpaved jeep route from Hussaini village, which lies adjacent to Ghulkin village
Batura Glacier
Batura Glacier (57km long) is one of the largest and longest glaciers outside the polar regions.It lies in the Gojal just north of Batura (7,795 m) and Passu (7,500 m). It flows west to east. The lower portions can be described as a gray sea of rocks and gravelly moraine, bordered by a few summer villages and pastures with herds of sheep, goats, cows and yaks and where roses and juniper trees are common.
Neelam Valley
The district of Neelum is the northernmost of 10 districts located within the Pakistani-administered territory of Azad Kashmir. Taking up the larger part of the Neelam Valley, the district has a population of around 191,000 people. It was among the worst-hit areas of Pakistan during the 2005 Kashmir earthquake.
This bow shaped valley located in Kashmir is one of the most famous and beautiful places in Pakistan. While winter enhances the beauty of the valley, once it ends, a sense of tranquility and sereneness descends over i that makes a person want to visit the place over and over again. Guraiz Valley
Gurez, or Gurais, is a valley located in the high Himalayas, about 86 kilometres from Bandipore and 123 kilometres from Srinagar in northern Kashmir and southern Gilgit-Baltistan. At about 2,400 metres above sea level, the valley is surrounded by snow-capped mountains.
Located in between the border of Azad Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan, this valley is divided between Azad Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan and Indian Occupied Kashmir. Guraiz valley is a beautiful valley with lush green valleys and densely forested areas. Due to restriction placed by the army on being located on the Pak-India Border, this place is hardly visited, however one can visit this heaven on earth with the permission of the army and enjoy one of the most beautiful places of Pakistan.
Hushe Valley
Hushe Valley is a valley in Ghanche District, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. Formed by the Hushe River, the valley runs from Masherbrum Mountain and nearby glaciers south to the Shyok River, opposite Khaplu. Hushe village lies in the center of the valley.
Talking about the fact that the “beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder”, what fascinates us the most are the mountains.
